N-Power Login Portal: How to Sign In at NASIMS.gov.ng

Updated28 July 2026
Reading time6 minutes

N-Power beneficiaries log in at nasims.gov.ng, not the retired npvn.npower.gov.ng portal. The scheme has been paused since February 2024 under a Tinubu-ordered reform, but the dashboard still works for checking arrears, updating bank details, and following payment cycles for the ₦81 billion backlog the Senate cleared for Batch C beneficiaries.

N-Power at a Glance (2026)

  • Status: Paused since Feb 2024; under reform by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
  • Login URL: nasims.gov.ng/login (SSP mirror: ssp.nasims.gov.ng).
  • Stipend: ₦30,000/month (graduates), ₦10,000/month (non-graduates) — unchanged.
  • Arrears: ₦81 billion approved after Senate intervention; phased payouts to Batch C beneficiaries.
  • Successor scheme: Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme (RHJCP) via the National Directorate of Employment, targeting 5 million beneficiaries.

Where to Log In Now

Two valid login points:

  • Main beneficiary portal: https://nasims.gov.ng/login
  • SSP mirror (Self-Service Portal): https://ssp.nasims.gov.ng/

Use the same email and password you registered with. The old npvn.npower.gov.ng URL no longer authenticates beneficiary accounts. If the portal won’t load from your network, switch data providers or try off-peak hours — NASIMS sees heavy load near payment cycles and is sometimes unreachable from networks outside Nigeria.

How to Log In to Your N-Power Dashboard

  1. Open nasims.gov.ng/login.
  2. Click Login at the top right.
  3. Type the email address you used to apply.
  4. Type your password.
  5. Click Login to open your dashboard.

Your dashboard shows your profile, deployment details, payment status, and the test icon (top right) when an exam window is open.

How to Reset Your Password

  1. Go to nasims.gov.ng/login.
  2. Click Forgot Password.
  3. Enter the email tied to your N-Power application.
  4. Click Send Link.
  5. Open the reset email and pick a new password.

The link expires fast. If it does not arrive in 10 minutes, check spam, then request a new one.

How to Update Your Bank Details

  1. Log in to your NASIMS dashboard.
  2. Click My Profile on the left menu.
  3. Scroll to Bank Information and click Edit.
  4. Pick your bank, enter the account name and number tied to your BVN.
  5. Click Update Account.

The name on the bank account must match the name on your BVN. A mismatch is the top reason stipends fail. Avoid neobank wallets (OPay, PalmPay, Kuda) for stipend accounts — federal programmes typically only push to standard commercial bank accounts.

How to Take the NASIMS Test

  • From your dashboard, click the Test icon at the top right.
  • Click Start Test.
  • You get 10 minutes for 20 questions.
  • You cannot skip questions or retake the test once submitted.
  • Time out three times without submitting and you are locked out of that test cycle.

NASIMS vs npower.fmhds.gov.ng

  • npower.fmhds.gov.ng – used for new applications when registration is open.
  • nasims.gov.ng – used by shortlisted candidates and existing beneficiaries to log in, update profiles, take tests, and check payments.

Stipend and Backlog Payment Updates

Graduate stipend stays at ₦30,000 per month; non-graduate beneficiaries receive ₦10,000. After Senate intervention, the Federal Government approved ₦81 billion to clear backlog stipends owed to Batch C beneficiaries, with phased payments running through verification rounds. Batch C2 beneficiaries are still owed up to nine months of arrears from 2023 and early 2024. New rounds and any rate change will appear on your NASIMS dashboard before they hit the press.

Successor and Related Schemes to Watch

With N-Power paused, the Federal Government has rolled out replacement programmes you can apply to right now:

  • Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme (RHJCP): Run by the National Directorate of Employment, targeting 5 million beneficiaries over five years. First phase trains 93,731 youth across 30 skills, with 10 slots in each of 8,809 wards. Apply at the NDE registration portal when calls open.
  • 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT): Digital skills training for fellows in cohorts. Open application windows on the 3MTT portal.
  • NELFUND student loan: If you are a Nigerian student in an accredited public tertiary institution, apply at portal.nelf.gov.ng with your JAMB number and NIN. Covers tuition and a monthly upkeep stipend.
  • HoPE-CT cash transfers: ₦50,000 grants to vulnerable households via the National Social Register, scaling to 15 million households.

FAQ

1. Is npvn.npower.gov.ng still working?
No. Beneficiary login moved to nasims.gov.ng. The old NPVN URL no longer authenticates accounts.

2. What is the official N-Power login URL?
https://nasims.gov.ng/login. The SSP mirror at ssp.nasims.gov.ng also works.

3. Why does NASIMS say my email was not found?
Either you were not shortlisted, or the email you typed is not the one you used to apply. Try other emails you own before contacting support.

4. How much is the N-Power stipend?
₦30,000 monthly for graduates and ₦10,000 for non-graduates. The Tinubu reform has not changed the figure.

5. Has Tinubu cancelled N-Power?
No. The scheme was paused in February 2024 then sent for reform under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. It now sits inside the Renewed Hope Job Creation framework.

6. When will backlog stipends be paid?
The Federal Government released ₦81 billion for arrears after Senate pressure. Payments are phased through verification, so check your NASIMS dashboard for batch alerts.

7. Can I still apply for N-Power?
No new batches have been opened under the reformed scheme. The active replacement is the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme via the NDE portal. Watch the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs channels for any N-Power-branded reopening.

8. Why is my stipend not showing on my dashboard?
The most common cause is a BVN-account name mismatch. Fix the bank record first, then re-update your bank details on NASIMS.

9. The NASIMS portal won’t load — is it down?
NASIMS goes intermittently unreachable near payment cycles and is sometimes blocked outside Nigeria. Try the SSP mirror, switch networks, or test from a Nigerian mobile data connection.

10. Is N-Power the same as the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme?
Not the same. N-Power was the original N-Power scheme under NSIP. RHJCP is the NDE-led replacement created to absorb its mandate. Existing N-Power beneficiaries still log in at NASIMS; new applicants should target RHJCP.

11. Can I log in to the NASIMS dashboard with my Gmail account?
Yes — if you applied with a Gmail address, that address is your login ID. There is no “Sign in with Google” button: type the Gmail address and your NASIMS password into the login form. Forgot the password? Use Forgot Password and the reset link lands in that same Gmail inbox.

Bookmark the NASIMS login page so you never land on the dead NPVN address again.
