List of All INEC Polling Units in Nigeria – Polling Unit Locator

Your polling unit is the place you vote during an election. In this article, we provide the full list of all polling units in Nigeria and how to locate them.

Currently, there are a total of 176,846 polling units in Nigeria, spread across all Local Governments and wards.

What is a Polling Unit?

A polling unit is an electoral unit created by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the purpose of registration of voters and/or voting.

In simple terms, a polling unit means the place, enclosure, booth, shade or house at which voting takes place.

No voter shall vote in any other way than personally attending the polling unit and voting in the manner prescribed by the Commission.

One is qualified to vote if he is a registered voter and his name appears on the register of voters at the polling unit of registration.

Therefore, a citizen can register to vote or vote at a polling unit.

It is advisable to select a Polling Unit close to your area of residence due to the restricted movement on election days.
