Also known as the NYSC Mobilization List, the NYSC Senate list is a list of graduates successfully approved by the Senate of Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs) to participate in the one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps Program.
Upon hearing that this list is out, prospective corps members are to go and check whether their name is there. The checking process is not that tedious, though some take it to be a long process.
But today, I will make the long process short by showing you an explicit method of checking the NYSC Senate Approved List.
Before I start, let me briefly inform you (all prospective corps members (2021 Batch ‘A’ Stream II) that they can now check the Senate / Academic Board approved mobilization list of their various institutions on the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) portal for free without paying a checking fee.
The uploading of approved names is currently in progress, and all PCMs are advised to Direct all questions regarding ‘date of birth’ and‘ name correction’ to the Students Affairs Unit.
HOW TO CHECK NYSC SENATE APPROVED LIST.
1. Go to the NYSC senate approved list portal at http://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/verifysenatelists
If you want to check the latest NYSC senate approved list of eligible candidates who are to participate in the one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps Program, the first thing you have to do is first the NYSC senate list on the NYSC official web portal;- http://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/verifysenatelists.
Once the web page load, you will see provide space to;-
2. Select your Institution (i.e., School you graduated from)
What is required from you here is simply to choose the name of the institution you graduated from.
3, Enter your Matriculation Number and Surname in the spaces provided
Ensure to provide your accurate matriculation number, the unique number assigned to you when you matriculate the first time to the institution you’ve just graduated from.
4. Select your date of birth
Your date of birth is important here. So, make sure to provide them with your accurate birth year. That means the one that all your papers have. Don’t provide different DOB in different documents.
5. Finally, click the SEARCH button to access your mobilization status.
After you’ve chosen and provided the required information, then the last thing you are to do is just to look below the DOB (Date of birth) line, and you’ll see the SEARCH button, click on it, and you’ll see your mobilization status if you’ve made it to the list or not.
When your Name is Missing from the NYSC Approved Senate list
Access the JAMB matriculation list portal to check if your name is already there. If you don’t find your name on the matriculation list, please follow the instructions by printing your letter of admission and the result slip for clarification.

Afterward, go over to your institution and begin the process of applying for mobilization. If you’ve already done this, there’s no need to do it again.
The next step is to confirm that your name is not on your institution’s error list.
If your name shows on the list of errors, please fix the problem and check the NYSC website to see if it has been fixed.
