What You Need to Check Your NECO Result
To view your results, you must have an internet-enabled device (phone or computer), your exam number, token number, exam type, and exam year.
SSCE Internal and External NECO Result
The SSCE has two categories. One is for candidates in the third and final year of their senior secondary education, and it is called the SSCE Internal Examination. The second is known as the SSCE External Examination and is for candidates not in the school system, that is, private candidates.
Nevertheless, the same procedures are applied when checking your NECO result, whether Internal or External SSCE.
How to Check Your NECO Result
Below are instructions on how to check your NECO result. If you’re having issues checking your result, it’s caused by too many people accessing the result page at once. Just wait for a while and try again.
Note: The NECO result checker Token is required to view the NECO result. Also, the Token would be used to check a candidate’s result once (and for five times); that is, you cannot use another token to check the same result again. Any further checks (of the same result) would require the use of the NECO E-Verify result verification Portal to verify/confirm such result.
There are two options here; if you have already purchased the token, use option A. But if you want to buy the token online and check your result from there, use option B.
Option A: Candidate already purchased the Token:
- Click here to go to the NECO Result-Checking portal.
- Select your examination year, e.g., 2024.
- Select your examination type, e.g., SSCE INTERNAL.
- Enter your Token.
- Enter your NECO SSCE Registration number.
- Now, click the Check Result button to view your NECO result. [You can either save or print out your result.]
Option B: Buy the Token Online and check your Result:
- Click here to login to your NECO account.
- Enter your login details (Email Address and Password) in the required fields, then click the Login button. [If you don’t have an account, then click the Create account here button and follow the on-screen instructions to create one.]
- Once you have successfully logged in, proceed to purchase tokens. Click Purchase token and follow the on-screen prompts to buy a token. [Note: You need one token per result check, so consider buying multiple tokens if needed.]
- Now, click on My token to use a token (This will take you to a page where you can view and manage your token). Select a token that you would like to use.
- Click Check Result on the corresponding token (This will take you to a page where you can enter information about Examinations for which you would like to see results).
- Enter your NECO SSCE examination details and view your result. [You can either save or print out your result.]
Common Issues and Troubleshooting When Checking NECO Results
“Invalid PIN” or “PIN Already Used”
This may occur if the token is invalid or has expired. A token can be used up to five times before it becomes unusable.
How to fix:
- If your token has expired, buy a new e-Verify PIN. Keep in mind that each token grants access to your NECO result only five times.
- Confirm that the token or e-PIN you provided is correct.
Incorrect examination number
One common problem when checking NECO 2024 results is an incorrect exam number. Every candidate is given a unique number, which must be entered accurately to check the result.
How to fix:
- Double-check the examination number before submitting it.
- Ensure no digits are missing or extra spaces are added.
Network connectivity issues during NECO 2024 results access
Unreliable internet service is a common factor behind NECO 2024 result access problems. Poor internet connection is often the cause of slow loading or inability to access the NECO portal.
How to fix:
- Ensure your internet connection is strong and consistent.
- Try switching to another internet provider if the problem persists.
- If the issue continues, consider using a different internet provider.
General Note: If you have problems checking your results, please don’t hesitate to contact the NECO help desk.
