The Nigeria LNG Limited invites applications from qualified candidates for the NLNG postgraduate scholarship scheme for entry into Masters Programme in the United Kingdom in 2021.

The 2021 application process for this scholarship is ongoing and will end on; 31st July 2021.

Overview of the NLNG Scholarship Scheme

The Nigeria LNG Scholarship Scheme started in 1998 as part of Nigeria LNG Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerian Citizens to enhance human capacity development.

The core aim of this Scholarship Award Scheme is to enhance academic excellence among students in higher institutions across the globe.

Being one of the ways the NLNG use to support academic, the NLNG has a four-tier scholarship programme which channels support for human capital development and encourage high performance, ultimately growing a pool of high potential students, graduates and professionals with a competitive advantage.

The four-tier scholarship programme which you will be seeing on this content includes;

• NLNG Post Primary Scholarship
• NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship
• NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship
• NLNG Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Scholarship

About NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship

In October 2012, the NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship scheme was launched with an annual intake of 15 beneficiaries to study in leading UK universities with an award value ranging between N9 and N11 million, depending on the course of study and how long it will take to finish the course.

Benefits of the NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship

As i said earlier, Students who will be selected fo the scholarship will be given an award value ranging between N9 and N11 million ($60,000 and $69,000), depending on the course of study and course duration.

Eligibility Criteria for NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship

Before considering yourself eligible for this scholarship, you must;

• Have provisional admission from any of the under-listed UK institutions to study any of the following disciplines: Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law, and Medicine:
  • University of Aberdeen
  • University of Manchester
  • University of Cranfield
• Possess a minimum of 2nd Class Upper degree in a relevant field of study
• Completed NYSC program
• Obtained not less than an 8.0 IELTS score
• Not be no more than 30 years of age as at the time of application
• Be resident in Nigeria
• Provide a letter of identification from respective Local Government Councils.
• Provide a letter of consent from employer (if in service of any organization)
• Possess an international passport valid for travel, at least, one year from September 2019
• Be able to obtain UK Tier-4 student Visa upon being successful
• Provide evidence that they are available to travel in September 2019 if selected
• Not a direct relative to a staff of Nigeria LNG Limited

• LGA Letter of identification
• Employer consent letter (where applicable)

NOTE:

• Avoid filling of invalid contact details as these will be used to communicate the status of the application
• Only shortlisted applicants shall be invited for the selection interview/test.
• Applicants are advised to check their mailbox regularly for information on the status of their application. The application will be disqualified:
  • For incomplete attachments
  • Non-adherence to advertised criteria.
• NLNG is not under obligation to offer any kind of employment to successful candidates upon graduation, neither are candidates bonded to NLNG on account of this scholarship.

NOTE

• Selection Test will take the form of Online Proctoring Test which allows candidates to take the test from the comfort of their homes.
• Candidates are advised to acquire basic computing skills and procure a personal computer/laptop with secure/steady internet connectivity.
• A cybercafé can be used by candidates unable to procure personal computers. Further information will be provided to shortlisted candidates prior to the Selection Test.
• Applicants are advised to check their e-mail boxes regularly for information on status of their application.
• NLNG is not under obligation to offer any kind of employment to successful candidates upon graduation neither are candidates bonded to NLNG on account of this scholarship
