In simple terms, Study in China Admission System, SICAS, was established to help international students study in China.
SICAS is the platform authorised by the greatest number of Chinese universities to assist international applicants in obtaining direct admissions to study in China at the quickest possible time.

Step to Step Guide on How to Apply for SICAS
To study in China through SICAS, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Fill out the Online Application
Visit SICAS application portal at https://www.sicas.cn/reg_student.aspx
Fill out the form to register
After the registration login to fill and submit your application
Step 2. Upload Required Documents
The university requires that you upload photocopies of documents. Therefore, scan and upload your relevant documents appropriately.
However, the document size should not exceed 8 MB and all the documents should take the following file formats: image files (.gif, .jpg), Adobe PDF, (.pdf) documents, MS-Word (.doc), or compression files (.rar, .zip).

In the file uploads Click ‘SELECT FILES’
Select the required documents from your computer.
Finally, click OK to upload.
Photocopies of Documents to Upload
The following documents will be required for upload:
Photocopy of valid passport
Certificate/diploma of your highest education
Academic transcript of your highest education
Letter of guarantee
Health certificate
Certification of no criminal record
Certificate of HSK /Results of IETLS or TOEFL
Passport photo
Photocopy of valid visa or residence permit
Personal ID card
Financial support statement
Others

Step 3. Pay Fees/Send to University
This option allows you to make payments and submit your applications to the university.
You are required to pay the application fee and SICAS fee before you can submit your application.
Required fees to be Paid for SICAS.
The universities will charge all individuals who apply an application fee.
The Chinese university application fee is usually 60 to 120 USD, depending on the school and type of course. SICAS is responsible for collecting application fees for universities as agreed by SICAS and China’s universities.
You will be charged a SICAS processing fee for the operation and maintenance of SICAS at 50 U.S. dollars, which covers your application to seven courses.
SICAS Accepted Method of Payment
SICAS provides you with an online invoice that helps you make payments online conveniently.
To view the invoice, click on ‘Browse Invoice’.
You can also make payments through Western Union or Bank transfer.
Step 4. Track Admission Status
Step 4 is the final step. After completing the procedures for the first three steps, you can now track your admission status.
You can click the button “Track Admission Status in My SICAS Account or Track Progress on the home page of SICAS to track your application status anytime.
