The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has its headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, plus state offices in every state of Nigeria and the FCT. You only need to visit a CAC office for document collection, complaints or signature verification — registration itself is now done online via the CRP portal at pre.cac.gov.ng. Below is the address, phone or email for every CAC office.

The Corporate Affairs Commission is the federal agency that registers companies, business names and incorporated trustees under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020. It is led by Registrar-General Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in 2023 and remains in office as of 2026 (source).
Do you actually need to visit a CAC office?
For most users, no. Use the online portal at pre.cac.gov.ng to register a business name, incorporate a company, file annual returns or change directors. Walk in to a state office only when you need to:
- Pick up a certified true copy of a certificate
- Resolve a name reservation issue or rejected filing
- Verify signatures and stamp documents in person
- Make a complaint that the help desk has not resolved
Most CAC offices now require an appointment. Call the head office on +234 708 062 9000 or email cservice@cac.gov.ng before you travel.

I visited the Uyo Zonal office of the CAC for the registration of my Business Name and was informed that the registration fee is Thirty-five thousand naira but the official CAC website states the fee of Twenty Thousand Naira effective From October 1st 2026.
My experience with the CAC staff member wasn’t also friendly as the case should have been. But my concern is that I was discouraged by the discrepancy and would like to be clarified in this issue.
Hi, not to sound corrective, but there is a slight discrepancy between the Lagos address in the table above and the regional listing. The Lagos (Yaba) address in the table should be updated to reflect the CMS new address, which was correctly stated in the Alphabetical listing.
