You might be wondering what wisdom teeth really are, do not kill yourself over heavy grammar. Wisdom teeth are simply third molars that grow behind the gums.
The number varies with people, some people have two, some three and some four teeth growing in each corner of the mouth and, these teeth emerge last.
Problems Associated Wisdom Teeth
Apart from the fact that having wisdom teeth makes one feel different from others, there two problems with the teeth that get annoying most times. These problems are:
- It disfigures the shape of the mouth: Most times, the teeth grow in such a way that most times it is difficult to completely join both lips together when closing the mouth, this disfigures the shape of the mouth a lot and affects the general look of the face.
- It causes infection to the teeth: Due to the closeness of the teeth to each other, it is difficult to touch all parts of the frontal set of the teeth when brushing. Because of these, food particles are likely to be left uncleaned and when it accumulates, it causes infection to the teeth. This infection does not only affect the wisdom teeth but it extends to the neighboring teeth.
Some people don’t give it too much attention but others will do everything possible to take it off their mouth. The problem is really not in the surgery, the [roblem is in keeping good oral health to avoid incurring more problems to oneself since the spot where the teeth grew is left open.
