WAEC Timetable 2026

UPDATE: The 2026 May/June WASSCE for school candidates is on. WAEC released the official timetable in early February 2026. The Computer-Based WASSCE (CB-WASSCE) results were released on Friday, 27 March 2026 — about a month earlier than the traditional paper-based release window — with a 32.72% credit pass rate in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

2026 May/June WASSCE (School Candidates)

Start Date: Tuesday, 28 April 2026
End Date: Friday, 19 June 2026

WAEC GCE 2026 (Private Candidates)

1st Series (Resit):
Start Date: Wednesday, 28 January 2026
End Date: Saturday, 31 January 2026

 

2nd Series:
Start Date: Friday, 30 October 2026
End Date: Thursday, 17 December 2026

2026 WAEC Registration

WAEC opened 2026 May/June WASSCE registration in late November 2025 and closed it in February 2026. The registration fee was set at N28,500 for Nigerian candidates, with private candidates registering separately for the GCE series. Registration is done through the official portal at waecdirect.org.

JAMB 2026 News Update

Most candidates writing WAEC this year will also sit JAMB UTME. JAMB recorded over 2.24 million registered candidates for the 2026 UTME. Stay up to date on UTME news at awajis.com/jamb.

How to Check the WAEC 2026 Timetable

Visit our WAEC Timetable page to view the official 2026 WAEC examination timetable. We mirror the schedule exactly as the West African Examinations Council releases it, so you can see the date and time for every paper at a glance.

How to Check Your 2026 WAEC Result

Once results are released, log in at waecdirect.org with your examination number, examination year (2026) and a valid result-checker PIN. Each PIN allows up to five result checks. The result-checker scratch card is sold at WAEC offices and authorised banks.
