What actually died is the old way of getting it:
- The wap portals — m.2go.im, wap.2go.im, pc.2go.im — are offline. Links in old guides no longer work.
- The Java, Symbian and BlackBerry builds are discontinued. There is no official version for feature phones anymore.
- The app has changed focus: it is now chat rooms (by language and city — Lagos, Owerri, Enugu, Kano, plus Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba rooms) with dating features, and Google Play rates it 18+.

How to sign up for a 2go account
- Install the app from your platform’s store (table above).
- Open it and tap Sign up.
- Pick a username and password, and fill in your profile. 2go’s rules require accurate details.
- Choose your language and city chat rooms — rooms are grouped by favourites once you join a few.
Had a 2go account back in the day? Accounts are username-based, so try logging in with your old username first — if the password is long gone and recovery fails, register fresh; usernames from dormant accounts are sometimes recycled.
Lost your 2go password?
