Nigerian Air Force Schools: Full List & 2026 Admission Guide

The Nigerian Air Force runs 20 NAF primary schools and 13 secondary schools (Air Force Military School Jos, Air Force Girls Military School Jos, plus 11 Air Force Comprehensive/Secondary Schools across the country). Admission is open to all Nigerian children, not only NAF wards. Candidates must be aged 11–13, have finished primary six, and pass the entrance exam set by the Nigerian Air Force Examination Centre (NAFEC). Buy the application scratch card (₦3,000) and apply at nafec.org.ng/new. The 2026/2027 cycle closed on 25 April 2026; the next batch opens early 2027.

Admission requirements

1. Candidate must be between 11 and 13 years old at the time of admission.
2. Must have completed (or be in the final term of) primary six.
3. Must sit for and pass the NAFEC entrance examination.
4. Must be medically fit.
5. Open to candidates from all 36 states and the FCT — not limited to Air Force personnel’s children.

How to apply

1. Buy the application scratch card for ₦3,000 when sales open. Cards are sold online via the NAFEC portal and at NAFEC sales points nationwide.
2. Register and fill the form online at nafec.org.ng/new. AFMS Jos and AFGMS Jos use the AFMS link; AFCS, AFGCS, and AFSS schools use the secondary-school link.
3. Print the exam slip showing your exam date, centre, and school of choice.
4. Sit for the entrance exam on the scheduled Saturday at the centre nearest you.
5. Check the interview list at nafec.org.ng/pd/results.php. Successful candidates are invited for written and oral interviews.
6. Receive admission letter after the interview. The letter shows the resumption date and any outstanding requirements.

2026/2027 admission update

The 2026/2027 application closed on:

• 4 April 2026 — AFMS Jos & AFGMS Jos.
• 25 April 2026 — AFCS, AFGCS, AFSS schools.

Who can apply to Air Force schools in Nigeria?

Any Nigerian child aged 11–13 who has completed primary six. You do not need to have a parent in the Air Force.
