Beth Model Management Africa, Few Models, 90s Model Management and Anani Model Management — all in Lagos — are the agencies behind Nigeria’s biggest international modelling careers. Box Models, Y-Ray Models and Mahogany Model Management handle commercial work: adverts, campaigns and events. Signing with a real agency is free; any “agency” charging a registration fee is running a hustle.

How we verified this list
We checked every agency in August 2026: a working official website or an active industry profile (models.com), a real Lagos address, and a public way to apply. Agencies we could not confirm were removed — see the last section for the names that dropped off.

Beth Model Management Africa
Beth is the biggest name in Nigerian modelling. Ex-model Elizabeth Elohor founded it in 2004, and it runs Elite Model Look Nigeria — the contest that discovered Mayowa Nicholas, the first Nigerian model to front Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein campaigns. The agency is based in Ikoyi, Lagos, and places models with partner agencies in New York, Paris, Milan and London.
Apply through the Elite Model Look Nigeria auditions when they open, or follow @bethmodelafrica on Instagram for scouting calls. Their website is being rebuilt as of August 2026, so Instagram is the reliable channel.
Few Models
Few is a boutique scouting agency at 12 Anifowose Street, off Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos, running since 2014. It is the agency that signed bread-seller-turned-model Olajumoke Orisaguna in 2016, and its current board works international runways and campaigns for brands like Dior, Balmain and Calvin Klein.
Apply through the submit page on fewmodels.com with clear, unedited photos.
90s Model Management
90s is a mother agency in VGC, Lekki, started in 2019. A mother agency develops you locally, then places you with bigger agencies abroad and negotiates on your side. They represent male and female models and are active scouts on Instagram at @90smodelsmgmt.
Apply by email: info@90smanagement.com, or through 90smanagement.com.
Anani Model Management
Anani, founded in 2017 in Lekki, is a female-only scouting and management agency with a global placement focus. Models scouted by Anani have gone on to international editorial work.
Apply through ananimanagement.com or their Instagram @ananimodels.
Box Models Agency
Box Models is the strongest option on this list for commercial work — adverts, brand-ambassador jobs and influencer campaigns, not just runway. They represent male, female and curve models from their office at 1st Floor Tecno Mobile Building, 3 Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
Apply on boxmodels.ng/become-a-model, email info@boxmodels.ng, or call +234 813 029 0110.
Y-Ray Models
Y-Ray has run since 2010 and keeps one of the largest books in Lagos — over 200 male, female and child models — covering photo shoots, TV commercials, music videos and event ushering. Ushering jobs pay less than campaign work, but they are the steadiest entry point for new models.
Register at yraymodels.com.ng or message them via Instagram @yraymodels.
Mahogany Model Management
Mahogany is a Lagos agency with separate men’s and women’s boards. They scout both fresh faces and experienced models through a portfolio-submission form.
Apply on the Become a Model page at mahoganymodelmanagement.com.
How to spot a fake modelling agency
Modelling scams are everywhere in Nigeria, and they all follow the same script. Walk away if you see any of these:
- Registration or “camera” fees. Real agencies make money by taking a commission when you get paid — never by charging you to join.
- WhatsApp-only “agents”. Every agency above has an official website, email or verified Instagram. An agent with no traceable office is a red flag.
- Guaranteed pay before you’ve done a single job. No agency can promise income; bookings depend on clients.
- Requests for indecent photos. Agencies ask for simple digitals — plain clothes, no filters. Anything beyond that is exploitation, not scouting.
How to apply the right way
- Take simple digitals: one head shot, one full-length, natural light, plain background, no heavy makeup or filters.
- Send them only through the official channels listed above — the form, email or verified Instagram.
- Include your height, age and city. Don’t pad the numbers; you will be measured at the casting.
- Under 18? A parent or guardian should handle the contact and attend any casting with you.
- Pay nothing. If money comes up before a signed contract, leave.
What happened to Zahara, Fashion Instinct and the others?
Older lists — including the previous version of this one — named Zahara Models, Fashion Instinct, ISIS Model Management, Wave Model Management, Iris, Black Dove, Beige and Pages Model Management. As of August 2026 their websites are dead or unreachable, and we could not confirm they still operate. Some may still take bookings quietly, but treat anyone claiming to recruit for them — especially anyone asking for a fee — with caution.
