Your status loads on screen — admitted, awaiting, or not admitted. If admitted, accept (or reject) on CAPS the same way.

How to check JAMB admission status (step by step)
- Open efacility.jamb.gov.ng on a desktop or in desktop view on your phone.

- Click Check Admission Status. Your result loads.
If you see “Congratulations! You have been offered provisional admission”, proceed to CAPS to accept or reject.

- Still inside efacility.jamb.gov.ng, click CAPS on the left menu.

What each status means
- Admission in Progress — your school has not yet uploaded a decision. Keep checking.
- Recommended for Admission — your school proposed you to JAMB; CAPS approval pending.
- Admitted — accept or reject on CAPS.
- Not Admitted — your score, post-UTME, or O’level didn’t meet the cut-off. Consider change of course/institution.
- No admission given yet — your school is still releasing batches. Check again weekly.
How to check JAMB admission with registration number only
If you can’t log in, use the public CAPS-linked page:
- Open portal.jamb.gov.ng.
- Click Check Admission Status.
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Click Check.
This shows admission only. To accept/reject, you still need eFacility login.
Why you might not see your status
- School hasn’t uploaded yet. Wait — JAMB releases admission in batches.
- Wrong exam year. Pick the correct cycle from the dropdown.
- Awaiting result not uploaded. Log in to O’level Result Upload and upload your WAEC/NECO result. Without it, no admission can be given.
- Browser issue. Switch to Chrome or Firefox on a PC, clear cache, or use desktop view on mobile.
- Server overload. The portal slows during peak admission release. Try early morning or late night.
How to check JAMB result by registration number
- Open jamb.org.ng/ExamSlipPrinting3/CheckUTMEResults.
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Click Check My Result. Your UTME score loads.
