Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition 2021/2022 Updates

Cowbell has been involved in the sponsorship of Mathematics competitions for Secondary Schools in Nigeria for the last 21 years to identify, recognize, and reward excellence in the subject of Mathematics.

Objectives of Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition

The following are the objectives of the Cowbell Mathematics Competition:

To raise awareness and interest in mathematics among Nigerian junior and senior secondary school students.
To improve the performance of students in Mathematics throughout Nigeria.
In addition, to establish a credible platform for identifying outstanding students and encouraging mathematical excellence.
To provide a credible platform that will recognize and reward excellence in the field of mathematics.

How to Apply for Cowbellpedia Competition

To apply for the Cowbellpedia mathematics competition, visit cowbellpedia.ng.

To register your school, click on the link above. Fill out the form.
Verify your email address by clicking on the link sent to your registered email address.
Log in to the portal using the school email and password you used to register.
After successfully logging in, you select Add Candidates from the Candidate Management menu.
Fill out the form with the candidate’s information, upload a photo of the candidate, and click the Save Draft button.
You must save draft information for five candidates before submitting their registration. If your school is a mixed school, at least two candidates must be female, or the registration will be denied.
After creating the draft registration for five candidates in a category (junior/senior), “Register junior/senior candidates” will appear on the page. To finish registering candidates for that category, click the button.
A confirmation slip will be generated and emailed to the school, candidate, and parent/guardian email addresses.
Print this confirmation slip, have the school’s principal stamp and sign it.
The confirmation slip will be required for candidates to be admitted to the examination venue.

Cowbell Mathematics Competition 2022 Prizes

There are awards for candidates and teachers at the state and national levels, as well as for schools.

In addition to cash prizes, the National Winners will be treated to an all-expenses-paid vacation.

Prizes for Cowbell Mathematics Competition for Students

First Prize: N1,000,000 for each category

Second Prize: N750,000 for each category

Third Prize: N500,000 for each category

Schools that win will receive new computers and printers.

This is to inform you all that the Promasidor Makers of Cowbell Our Milk and Sponsor of the COWBELLPEDIA Secondary School Mathematics TV Quiz Show suspended the registration and activities of the competition for the Year 2020/2021.

Why the 2020 Suspension of the Competition?

The 2020 Cowbellpedia Mathematics online registration exercise, which commenced on 1st January 2020, only lasted for a week before the registration portal was shut down without prior notice to schools, individual candidates and the general public.

As days rolled into weeks and weeks into months, there was no information or announcement from the competition organizers stating the reasons for the sudden suspension of the registration exercise.

We later got information from one of the Schools that were fortunate to have registered before the portal was shut down.

Promasidor has withdrawn the competition sponsorship immediately as text messages were sent to already registered schools.

Below is an excerpt of the text message been dispatched to a registered school’s number.

Please, be informed that COWBELLPEDIA has been suspended by PROMASIDOR, the sponsor of the competition with immediate effect. Regrets.

Due to the rising questions and inquiries from candidates and schools on the sudden suspension of the 2020 Cowbellpedia registration exercise, Promassidor issued a notice via the Cowbellmilk official Facebook Page giving reasons that the suspension was necessary for the competition to be revamped.
