9mobile is now T2. The network rebranded on 8 August 2025 and its site moved to t2mobile.com.ng — your SIM, number and line all still work. T2 data plans run from ₦50 for 40MB a day to ₦50,000 for 118GB a month, and the rate barely improves as you climb — ₦424 per GB at the top of the list against ₦500 per GB at ₦1,000. Dial *312# to buy. T2 does not currently publish its plan prices on its own website, so the prices below come from the tariff schedule it filed with the NCC, last updated 17 July 2026.
9mobile Is Now T2
The network announced the change on 8 August 2025 at its Tech Meets Tenacity event in Lagos. Green became orange, 9mobile.com.ng became t2mobile.com.ng, and the old web address now leads nowhere.
This is the operator’s second rename. It launched as Etisalat Nigeria in 2008, became 9mobile in 2017 when the Emirati parent company pulled out, and became T2 after LH Telecommunication Limited took a majority stake. Subscribers had fallen from more than 22 million to roughly 3.2 million by the time of the rebrand.
Two things changed for the better. T2 signed a national roaming deal with MTN, so a T2 line can use MTN’s network where T2 has no coverage. And the network now sells through *312#, the NCC harmonised data code, instead of its old *229# menu.
Nothing changed on your side. You keep the same number, the same SIM and the same balance.
Where These Prices Come From
T2’s own data page currently returns “Sorry! No data pack available at the moment!” and lists no prices or codes — checked 22 September 2026. Every Nigerian operator must file its approved tariffs with the Nigerian Communications Commission, so the tables below come from T2’s filing on the NCC’s approved operator bundle plans page, last updated 17 July 2026.
Those are approved prices, not necessarily what the *312# menu shows you today. Check the confirmation screen before you pay.

The old per-plan *229*2*7#-style codes are not published anywhere by T2 any more, and the plans they pointed at have changed. Use the *312# menu and read the allowance on the confirmation screen instead of dialling a code from an old list.
Data transfer limits
- Minimum 10MB per transfer, maximum 200MB at a go, maximum 1GB a day.
- You must be left with at least 50MB after the transfer.
- Prepaid and hybrid lines only, and both numbers must be on T2.
Airtime transfer limits
- Minimum ₦10, maximum ₦20,000 at a go, maximum ₦100,000 a day.
- You must be left with at least ₦10 after the transfer.

T2 Tariff Plans
Your tariff plan sets the call rate; the data bundles above work on all of them. Dial *301# to migrate.
T2’s prepaid packages are T2 Konfam, Moreflex Plus, Morelife Complete and the SME Plan, plus postpaid options. T2 Konfam is the one it pushes to new lines:
- 900% bonus on every recharge of ₦100 and above, for calls to all networks, SMS and pay-as-you-go browsing.
- ₦1,000 one-off activation bonus on a new SIM — ₦300 for calls, ₦700 for pay-as-you-go data.
- Double data bonus on your first recharge of ₦200 or more each month, for your first six months.
- Calls from the main account are charged at 31.74k per second, about ₦19.04 a minute. Calls from the bonus account are 83k per second.
- Pay-as-you-go browsing is ₦70 per MB — buy a bundle instead. SMS is ₦6.
- Bonus credit expires after 7 days.
How to Check Your T2 Data Balance
Dial *310# for every balance on the line, or *323# for data only. The reply lists your remaining data and the expiry date.

Yes, in places where T2 has no coverage of its own. T2 has a national roaming agreement with MTN as part of the rebrand.

Why is my data finishing fast?
Background app updates, video autoplay on social apps and cloud backups eat data fast. Turn on data saver in Chrome and in Android settings, and switch off autoplay on Facebook and Instagram.
