Need mobile data working on your Airtel Kenya line? Enter one APN — Name Airtel Internet, APN internet, everything else blank — and reboot. The full values, plus the auto-setup shortcode and step-by-step for Android and iPhone, are below.
Airtel Kenya APN settings (copy these)
Use these values to browse the internet on any Airtel Kenya SIM. Leave every field marked “blank” empty.

The same APN works on 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. There is no separate 5G APN. If MCC/MNC are already filled in by your phone, leave them alone.

Get the settings by SMS (fastest)
Before typing anything by hand, ask Airtel to send the settings to your phone:
- Text ALL to 232. Airtel replies with a configuration message.
- Open the message and choose Save (some phones ask for a PIN — enter 1234 or 0000).
- Reboot the phone. Data should now work.
You can also dial *175# and follow the menu to request internet settings.
How to add the APN on Android
Menu names vary slightly by phone brand, but the path is the same:
- Open Settings → Network & internet (or Connections).
- Tap Mobile network → Advanced → Access Point Names.
- Tap + or Add (top-right) to create a new APN.
- Enter the values from the table above.
- Tap the ⋮ menu → Save.
- Select Airtel Internet so its button turns on, then reboot.
How to add the APN on iPhone (iOS 15 and newer)
- Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Tap Cellular Data Network.
- Under Cellular Data, set APN to internet. Leave username and password blank.
- Go back, turn Cellular Data off and on, then reboot.
If you don’t see Cellular Data Network, your carrier settings hide it — use the SMS method above instead.
MMS settings (only if you send picture messages)
Add a second APN with these values. The proxy here is correct for MMS only — never put it on your internet APN.

Still no internet? Try these
- Turn airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off.
- Check you have an active data bundle or airtime — dial *100# to see your balance.
- Confirm mobile data is switched on and Airtel is your data SIM.
- Restart the phone after saving the APN.
- Still stuck? Text ALL to 232 and let Airtel push the settings automatically.
Once the Airtel Internet APN is selected and your phone is rebooted, browsing works on any network band.
