About The NUTM Scholars Program (NSP)
The NUTM Scholars Program (NSP) is a one-year full-time interdisciplinary postgraduate program in Technology, Entrepreneurship and Design.
During the Program, Scholars will learn and study technology, entrepreneurship and design, management, and leadership concepts.
The NSP intends to groom stellar young leaders from diverse backgrounds across Africa to be change agents for the region and the world.
The NUTM Scholars Program aims to transform Africa through technology and entrepreneurship education.
The Program runs for one year with 60 people who will be lucky to be selected.

Full-time opportunity to be mentored by a senior leader and work on a company’s project through a six-week internship.
5. TEDLab
Entrepreneurship capstone project to build a venture from scratch.

What Do You Stand to Gain From the Program?
The NSP will equip you with the relevant knowledge and skills to become a leader in technology, entrepreneurship, and design.
The Program is designed to be rigorous and immersive and spans a period of 10 months, which comprises eight terms of four to five weeks each.
Courses are built on six foundational tracks and include experiential learning components.

- Entrepreneurship and Design
- Management
- Leadership
- Perspectives
- Critical Thinking and Communication
How to Apply for the 2022/23 NUTM Scholars Program
Application is currently open for the first round of the NUTM Scholars Program 2022-23.

You will need to provide your full name, email address, phone number and country of residence for the first step of the application.
Here is a breakdown of the application procedure:
First Step: Online Application
Complete the online application form. There is NO application fee.
Click Apply Now to access the application form.
Second Step: Online Assessment
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online assessment that measures learning agility, personality traits, and critical thinking abilities.
Third Step: Telephone Interview
Qualified candidates will be invited for a 20-minute telephone interview. The telephone interview will evaluate your aspirations and fit for the NSP.
Final Step: Panel Interview
This will be a 30-minute interaction with a panel. At this stage, you will be assessed on your aptitude, leadership potential, and motivation to be a part of the Program.
Application Deadline:
- Round 1: 20th June 2022
- Round 2: 25th July 2022
- Round 3: 15th Sep 2022
Program Eligibility
The following are the requirements for the NUTM Scholars Program
- A recognized bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Must not be older than 35 years of age as of the date of application.
- While there is no typical profile of an ideal Scholar, the following traits are essential:
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Strong Passion for Africa
- Intellectual Curiosity
- Passion and Self Awareness
- Leadership Potential
Note: All the selected applicants must submit their academic transcripts (bachelor’s degree) before the start of pre-term. Failing to do so would result in withdrawal of the offer.
Program Fees and Scholarship
The overall cost of the NSP is ₦21.0M (~$35,000), but this year’s Program is subsidized to ₦4.5M ($8,000) through support from generous benefactors and donors.
Therefore, the 2022/2023 NSP cost eight thousand dollars only.
Further need-based scholarships are available for deserving applicants.
