Followers and check-ins from both Pages combine. The other Page&#8217;s posts, photos, reviews, and username are deleted \u2014 and you cannot unmerge.<\/p>\n<h2>Before you merge: the requirements<\/h2>\n<p>Facebook only approves a merge when both Pages meet all of these:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You&#8217;re an <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/help\/289207354498410?helpref=faq_content\">admin<\/a> of both Pages (full Facebook access, not task-level access given through Business Manager).<\/li>\n<li>The Pages have the same or similar names and represent the same business, brand, or person.<\/li>\n<li>They have the same <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/help\/197254963682414?helpref=faq_content\">address<\/a>, if they have physical locations.<\/li>\n<li>Both Pages are published. Unpublish neither before the merge.<\/li>\n<li>If the Pages are owned through Business Manager, both must sit in the <em>same<\/em> Business Manager account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pick your survivor first.<\/strong> The Page you keep holds its posts, photos, reviews, username, and URL. Everything on the other Page except its followers and check-ins is deleted.<\/p>\n<h2>Method 1: Merge from Page settings<\/h2>\n<p>This is the current path in the new Pages experience:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click your profile picture (top right), then <strong>See all profiles<\/strong>, and switch into the Page you want to <em>keep<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Page&#8217;s profile picture (top right), then <strong>Settings &amp; privacy &gt; Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the left menu, click <strong>Page setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Next to <strong>Merge Pages<\/strong>, click <strong>View<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Next to <strong>Merge multiple Pages<\/strong>, click <strong>Start request<\/strong>, then choose the Page to keep and the Page to merge into it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Method 2: The merge tool<\/h2>\n<p>The direct tool still works and does the same thing:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/pages\/merge\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">facebook.com\/pages\/merge<\/a> while logged in to an account that admins both Pages.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48425 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/awajis.com\/howto\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/merge-facebook-pages.png-1318\u00d71134-1.png\" alt=\"merge-facebook-pages.png \" width=\"802\" height=\"692\" srcset=\"https:\/\/awajis.com\/howto\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/merge-facebook-pages.png-1318\u00d71134-1.png 802w, https:\/\/awajis.com\/howto\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/merge-facebook-pages.png-1318\u00d71134-1-300x259.png 300w, https:\/\/awajis.com\/howto\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/merge-facebook-pages.png-1318\u00d71134-1-768x663.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 802px) 100vw, 802px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Select the two Pages and click <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose which Page to keep, then click <strong>Request Merge<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Pages owned by a Business Manager account merge at <a href=\"https:\/\/business.facebook.com\/pages\/merge\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">business.facebook.com\/pages\/merge<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n<h2>What happens after the merge<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Kept (moves to the surviving Page):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Followers and likes \u2014 duplicates count once, so the total can be less than the sum of both Pages.<\/li>\n<li>Check-ins from both locations.<\/li>\n<li>Facebook Groups linked to the merged Page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Deleted (from the Page you merge away):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Posts, photos, and videos.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews and ratings.<\/li>\n<li>The Page&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/help\/121237621291199?helpref=faq_content\">username<\/a> and URL.<\/li>\n<li>The Page itself \u2014 it&#8217;s removed from Facebook, and there is no unmerge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you run ads, check that no active campaign targets the Page you&#8217;re deleting before you submit the request.<\/p>\n<h2>Save the losing Page&#8217;s content first<\/h2>\n<p>Since posts, photos, and reviews on the merged Page are wiped, download a copy before merging:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Switch into the Page you plan to merge away.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Settings &amp; privacy &gt; Settings &gt; Download profile information<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Request a copy of posts, photos, and videos, then download the file when Facebook emails you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Screenshot your best reviews too \u2014 review content cannot be transferred, but you can quote them later as testimonials.<\/p>\n<h2>Merge option missing or request denied?<\/h2>\n<p>Work down this list \u2014 one of these is almost always the cause:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Names too different.<\/strong> Rename the losing Page to match the survivor, wait about a week for the change to settle, then request the merge again.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Different addresses.<\/strong> Edit both Pages so the address, phone, and website match exactly, or remove the location from the losing Page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You&#8217;re not an admin of both.<\/strong> Ask the other admin to grant you full control, or have them start the merge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Task-level access only.<\/strong> Access given through Business Manager as task access isn&#8217;t enough \u2014 you need full Facebook access on both Pages.<\/li>\n<li><strong>One Page is unpublished.<\/strong> Publish it, then retry.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Different Business Manager accounts.<\/strong> Move both Pages into the same Business Manager first.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Pages that can&#8217;t be merged<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/business\/help\/905034079579176\/?helpref=faq_content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Global Pages<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A verified Page into a Page that isn&#8217;t verified. Merge the unverified one into the verified one instead.<\/li>\n<li>A classic Page with a Page in the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/business\/help\/782660422528806?helpref=faq_content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new Pages experience<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why merge instead of deleting the extra Page?<\/h2>\n<p>Deleting a duplicate Page throws its followers away. Merging moves them to your main Page, so the audience you built on both survives.
