Nollywood Audition Form 2022: The cinema of Nigeria, often referred to as Nollywood, consists of films produced in Nigeria.
Nollywood is a huge producer of home movies in the world. The Nigerian movie industry has produced a lot of talented Nollywood actors and actresses, many lf which you already know.
Acting career is fulfilling, but what fulfills more is how you go about it. Not everyone who wishes will become an actor. However, with a few tips and the right guidance, success will be yours.
Before a movie stage is set, there is an audition, mostly for upcoming actresses and actors. During auditions, many actors are assigned a role to perform individually, and whoever does it best plays the role.
In this post, i will tell you how to apply for Nollywood audition and a few tips to prepare you for Nollywood auditions.
Preparation Tips for Nollywood Audition
- Work on your diction- This simply refers to the way you talk; you must sound nice and have the charisma to go with it. This would be an added advantage to you.
- Time consciousness– The big turn off in auditions is going late to the audition grounds.
- Look Good– Be presentable, first impression matters, so you have to be moderate in all you do, first impression lasts a long time.
- Act Natural– You are constantly monitored by various persons you don’t even know are watching you at the audition ground, so always act natural, no need for all the irrelevant fronting.
- Stay Confident– Confidence is key to succeed in the industry, you must prove to the audition judges that you have what it takes to become a super star, act like you are in your palace but stay humble while doing this, no room to be rude.
- Practice constantly- You can call your friends together and try to display several emotions without it looking fake
- Never get tensed- You must be relaxed while in the audition ground, stay calm, believe in yourself and do what you know how to do best, ACT!.
- Get yourself prepared– At the ground of audition, you will be asked to introduce yourself in about 3 minutes, your story must not be long and it must be very interesting. Go with something that would make you stand out in the crowd.
- Make useful friends– You will be placed in an environment with people from various places, try to be friendly, do not be so occupied with winning that you shun people, you never know what the people you interact with would be in the future. Being friendly would help your career in many ways than one.
- Be convinced– You have to know what you want before going for the audition in the first place, imagine yourself as the lead actor of a movie, the thought is great right? Never despise little beginnings, even if the role you get is passer-by (extras) do it with passion and your talent would be rewarded.
